MUST Week. What is MUST? And is it a must, really?
MUST stands for Masaryk University Staff Training.
It is an annually held international event arranged for librarians from various countries and librarian backgrounds.
In conference-like scheme, librarians discuss current topics, share their know-how, compare their experience and get acquainted both professional- and culture-wise. And by doing so, define and get better understanding of libraries in the 21st century.
It is education. It is inspiration. It is encounter.
The programme combines librarian practice and features of Masaryk University libraries, lectures and workshops of Masaryk University staff of diverse expertise, participants’ presentations, and pastime culture trips

What awaits you
This year, Masaryk University libraries will introduce their information services, science and research support, including the practice of Open Science and Open Access. They will also show teaching practice and explain how the faculty libraries unite in teaching and create their strategies. They will show you their premises and present changes they are taking throughout the years. The programme will then offer two much-discussed topics of artificial intelligence and well-being, regarding librarian practice and everyday life. Participants’ presentations are going to give a good insight and inspiration in highlights and peculiarities of the participants’ working places. General programme will then be followed by optional fieldtrips, city tours and more to explore the very best of the beautiful city of Brno and its culture.
